Professional background

I have an investment director role at the family business, which is the largest life science-oriented group of SMEs in the CEE region. We are still building companies, currently, the total revenue is EUR 10 mln, 166 employees in 7 companies, mostly exporting. Had a trade sale in 2006 for 11,5 mln, attracted more than 20 mln VC money into our projects. The corporate center is located in Budapest, Hungary, our R&D, production, admin is here, and usually, sales are in the US. My UK ties: I also was involved as a non-exec director in Nuformix, a small Cambridge based company which went to LSE via reverse merger 2 years ago. We have a few more mostly sleeping companies in the UK or subsidiaries, and I am just in the process to convert one of this sleeping company to a startup investor. This is a bit independent from the other family operations. My aim here is to get an overview first of the available projects, execute a few small investments and learn on the way how it works.
