Professional background

I spent 40 years in management including senior roles in retail and finance technology but have been 'retired' for the last 5 years. I continue to own a couple of small retail businesses which employ 20 people. I take a close interest in small companies and own a portfolio of around 50 small quoted companies

Areas of Expertise

I spent 20 years as an Army Officer including working in the Ministry of Defence weapons operational requirements, specialising in command and control systems. I then 20 years as an IT project manager for The John Lewis Partnership(retail) and a number of finance institutions including Standard and Poors, UBS and Deutsche Bank. My expertise is as a general manager in the retail area.
